Brand kit
A brand kit is a defined set of brand assets (logo, color palette, fonts, voice) enforced consistently across all generated creative.
What does Brand kit actually mean?
A brand kit (sometimes ‘style guide’ or ‘brand bible’) is the set of constraints that keep creative on-brand: logo files, color palette (with hex codes and usage rules), approved fonts, photography style, tone of voice, prohibited words and phrases.
In modern AI ad workflows, brand kits are first-class inputs to generation. Many tools (advrt, Canva, Adobe's apps and others) let you store a brand kit and feed it into generation, so output starts from your palette, fonts and voice instead of generic defaults. It's guidance rather than a guarantee. Generated images can still drift, so a quick human review stays part of the workflow. Treating the brand kit only as a reference doc for reviewers doesn't scale to the testing volumes modern paid social requires.
The value of a strict brand kit: when you ship 50+ creative variants per week, brand consistency is the first thing to break. Storing the brand kit once and feeding it into every generation is the practical way to maintain consistency at testing scale.
Example
advrt extracts a brand kit from a website URL: colours, fonts, logo and voice/tone. That kit is passed into angle writing and ad generation as context, so ads start on-brand. You still review each one before it goes live.
When it matters
Brand kits are how brands stay on-brand at AI testing volumes. Without one feeding generation, every ad turns into a review-and-rework job.
