An Arcads alternative for product ads you can test
Arcads makes AI UGC video ads with 1,000+ talking actors, priced in credits. advrt has no talking actors yet; it makes product-photo ads and tests them on Meta, from $19.99/mo.
Arcads is one of the strongest AI UGC tools: talking actors, lip-sync, translation, product videos and an agent called Mark. advrt doesn't have talking actors yet. What it does have is product-accurate image and video ads and a fair live test on Meta that tells you which ones to keep.
Free plan: 5 ad generations a month, no card.

Arcads or advrt: the short answer
If you need a person on camera talking about your product, use Arcads. It has a library of more than 1,000 AI actors, lip-synced talking videos in dozens of languages, custom actors and voice cloning (arcads.ai; Arcads help: FAQ, checked October 2026). advrt's talking AI creators are still in development.
If you need ads that show your actual product, plus an answer on which ones work, advrt is the closer fit. It edits your real product photo into lifestyle, UGC-style and headline ads, animates it into short video with Veo 3 Fast, and tests each creative in its own Meta ad set against your account's last 30 days. advrt's prices are public: Free, $19.99 and $49 a month. Arcads lists plans by credits and shows dollar prices only inside the app.
| Option | Best for | Main tradeoff | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arcads | Brands and agencies whose best-performing format is a person talking to camera: testimonials, hooks, translations at volume. | Dollar prices aren't public. It can publish to Meta through its agent, but we found no published method for how winners are judged. | Credit plans from Starter (8,000 credits/mo); dollar prices in the app only; 72-hour trial, card required (as of October 2026) |
| advrt | Product brands that want the exact product in every ad and a fair Meta test with winner and loser calls. | No talking actors, voiceover, lip-sync or captions yet. Tests run on Meta only. | Free; Basic $19.99/mo; Pro $49/mo |
| Both | Teams that make talking-actor videos in Arcads and product-photo ads in advrt. | advrt can't test videos made elsewhere today, so Arcads videos are tested in Ads Manager or Arcads. | Arcads credits + $19.99/mo and up |
- Arcads: 1,000+ AI actors; talking actors speak 74 languages, per its FAQ.
- Arcads' trial: 72 hours, 1,000 credits, card held; a talking-actor video costs 800 credits.
- advrt keeps your real product photo in every image ad, using edit models like Nano Banana.
- In our own run, about 1 in 3 product videos needed a re-roll, mostly when the product rotated.
- advrt judges each test ad against your account's last 30 days and can pause losers for you.

Why buyers look past Arcads
Your product has to be exact
Arcads' own help center says library actors aren't holding your product yet; you generate an image of an actor holding it first. advrt starts every image ad from your real product photo.
You want public, flat pricing
Arcads publishes credit amounts per plan but shows dollar prices only in the app, and says credit rates can change. advrt's plans and limits are on its pricing page.
You want the testing done for you
Arcads' agent can read Meta results and clone a winner. advrt builds the test itself: equal budgets per creative and a published rule for winners and losers.
Where each tool is stronger
Arcads does some things advrt doesn't. Here are both lists.
Arcads is stronger at
- Talking AI actors
- 1,000+ actors, three talking models, custom actors from a 2-minute video and voice cloning. advrt has none of this today.
- Languages and editing
- Talking actors in 74 languages, video translation with lip-sync, captions in 16 styles, resizing, trimming and upscaling.
- Agent, API and MCP
- Mark takes a brief and picks models, edits and can publish. A public API (Pro and up) and an MCP server work with Claude and ChatGPT. advrt's API and MCP are in development.
advrt is stronger at
- Your real product in the ad
- Image ads are edits of your product photo with Nano Banana, Seedream 4 or Flux Kontext, guided by a prompt that tells the model not to redesign the product.
- Angles before assets
- 3 to 6 angles per campaign, each with hooks, a Meta headline, primary text, a CTA, a video script and an image concept, built from your product page and brand kit.
- A fair, judged test
- One ad set per creative with an equal daily budget, judged against your account's last 30 days. Verdicts don't flip, and losers can pause automatically.
- Public, flat pricing
- Free with 5 ad generations a month, no card. Basic $19.99/mo, Pro $49/mo.
What does Arcads do best?
Arcads is built around AI actors. Its help center describes it as "an AI platform for making ads. Video ads, UGC-style ads with AI actors, product videos, B-roll, static ads, voiceovers, music, captions and translations, all made in one workspace on one credit balance" (What is Arcads?). The homepage advertises more than 1,000 actors, and the help center says they're based on real people who agreed to the use of their likeness and are paid for it (AI actors).
Its FAQ says talking actors speak 74 languages with accents and that Translate Video offers 176 language and accent options. Custom actors cost 1,600 credits once, and you can clone yourself from a video of at least 2 minutes. Captions come in 16 styles, and outputs resize to 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9 (Meta and TikTok ads).
Mark, Arcads' agent, takes a brief in plain words, picks the models, generates and edits the ad, and can publish it. When you add a brand, Mark reads your website. It can also research what's working on TikTok, Instagram and X (Mark). If talking-head video is the format that works for you, this is a deep toolset.
How do Arcads and advrt handle your actual product?
This is the main difference for physical products. Arcads' help center says that "the actors available in the library are not yet holding your product"; the workflow is to generate an image of an actor holding the product first, then turn that into a talking actor (Show a product in a video). It also offers unboxing POV, cinematic product shots using your image as a start frame, and static ads from a product image.
advrt starts every image ad from your product photo and edits the scene around it with Nano Banana, Seedream 4 or Flux Kontext Pro. Each prompt begins with an instruction to keep the product exactly as it appears in the reference: same shape, colours, materials, label, logo and packaging text, with no redesign and no added text on the product. For video, Veo 3 Fast animates the product photo, or Veo 3, Kling 2.1 Master and Luma generate from text.
Neither approach is perfect. Generative models still change products sometimes, which is why the research section below lists the failures we hit making advrt's own showcase.
Can Arcads test ads the way advrt does?
Arcads can connect Meta Ads so Mark can "read campaign performance, clone the winner and publish new ads" (AI video ads for performance marketing). Its article on ad variations and creative testing covers making variations. We didn't find a description of how a test is structured or how a winner is decided.
advrt's test is specific. It creates one Meta campaign with one ad set per creative and an equal daily budget, built paused until you confirm. It records your ad account's last 30 days as the baseline and judges each ad against it every day: purchases with a Poisson test when the account has at least 10 purchases in that window, otherwise click-through rate with at least 1,000 impressions.
A winner needs at least 3 purchases with a CPA at least 15% better than the account's. A creative with zero purchases is called a loser after about 2.3× CPA of spend. If nothing is clear by 5× CPA, it stops as inconclusive. Losers can pause automatically, and a winner can become 3 new variations in one click.
How does Arcads pricing compare with advrt?
Arcads doesn't publish dollar prices on its website. Its pricing article lists plans by monthly credits: Starter 8,000, Creator 16,000, Pro 48,000, Scale 96,000, Business 192,000, plus Enterprise, with yearly billing 20% off. It says "Current prices are on the pricing page in the app" and that Arcads "tests new pricing from time to time" (How Arcads pricing works, checked October 2026).
Credit costs give a sense of scale. A talking-actor video of up to 2 minutes with Arcads 1.0 costs 800 credits, an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip costs 800, and translation costs 240 credits per started 30 seconds per language. On those rates a Starter plan's 8,000 credits covers about 10 talking-actor videos a month. The trial is 72 hours with 1,000 credits and a card hold, and Starter begins automatically afterwards (Free trial).
advrt's plans are public: Free (5 ad generations a month, no card), Basic at $19.99/mo (100 generations, tests and publishing) and Pro at $49/mo (unlimited generations, 14-day trial). There's no output in advrt that matches a talking-actor video, so compare on the job you need done.
What we saw making product ads with advrt
To build advrt's showcase we made 13 fictional products, each from one AI packshot (Flux Pro 1.1, 1024×1024). advrt's own image path (Nano Banana edit) then made 3 ads per product: a 4:5 lifestyle ad, a 9:16 UGC-style shot and a 1:1 headline ad, all with the product-preservation prompt. We also made 3 product videos with Veo 3 Fast image-to-video (8 seconds, 720×1280, no audio). Here is what went wrong.
| Output | What happened first | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Magnesium gummies, all 3 ads | The base packshot came back as a blank black frame. The 3 edits built on it invented different products: a blue bottle, a candle jar, a different jar. | Regenerated the base photo. Edits only preserve what's actually in the reference. |
| Gold necklace, UGC selfie | The first selfie didn't show the necklace at all. | Re-prompted for the pendant to be visible and in focus. |
| Sunglasses, video | Usable on the first try. | None. |
| FLOW water bottle, video | The bottle rotated and the "FLOW" logo came out as "FWLOFW". | Re-prompted: "the bottle does not turn or rotate". |
| Coffee bag, video | A stray second hand appeared. | Re-prompted: "one hand only". |
Unedited outputs from advrt's own pipeline, made for advrt's site in October 2026. 13 products, 39 image ads, 3 videos.
Two lessons carry over to any AI ad tool, Arcads included. First, the edit is only as good as the reference: a bad product photo produces confident ads of the wrong product. Second, about 1 in 3 of our videos needed a re-roll, and logos broke when the product rotated. Keeping the product still in the prompt fixed both cases.
That's why advrt shows you the outputs before anything spends, and why testing matters more than any single render. A creative that looks right still has to beat your account's own numbers.

Questions about Arcads and advrt
- Does advrt have AI actors like Arcads?
- Not yet. Talking AI creators with voice are in development at advrt. Today advrt makes UGC-style stills and short product videos without speech. If you need a talking actor now, Arcads has more than 1,000.
- How much does Arcads cost?
- Arcads doesn't publish dollar prices on its website. Its help center lists plans by credits (Starter 8,000 a month up to Business 192,000), says yearly billing is 20% off, and says current prices are shown in the app. The trial is 72 hours with 1,000 credits and needs a card.
- Can Arcads put my real product in the video?
- Arcads offers several product formats: an actor holding your product, unboxing, cinematic product shots from your image, and static ads. Its help center says library actors aren't holding your product yet, so you first generate an image of an actor with it. advrt edits your product photo directly for every image ad.
- Does advrt test Arcads videos?
- Not today. advrt tests the ads it generates. If you make talking-actor videos in Arcads, test them in Meta Ads Manager or through Arcads' own Meta connection.
- How does advrt decide which ad wins?
- Each ad gets its own ad set and an equal daily budget. advrt compares each one with your ad account's last 30 days: a Poisson test on purchases when the account has 10 or more purchases, otherwise a CTR test with at least 1,000 impressions. Winners need 3 or more purchases and a CPA at least 15% better than the account's.
- Which is better for a Shopify store?
- It depends on the format. For talking-actor UGC, Arcads. For ads that show the exact product from your catalog, imported from a product URL or Shopify (up to 250 products per run), plus a live test on Meta, advrt.
